Helping Cerebral Palsy Midlands Raise Essential Funds
Supporting a wonderful charity that’s making a big difference for adults living with disability
Cerebral Palsy Midlands (CPM) is a charity that’s close to our heart. The adult day service in Harborne, Birmingham, has served the community since 1947. On a mission to improve the lives of adults living with cerebral palsy and other disabilities, CPM offers a wide variety of activities from wheelchair dance and rock band tuition to pottery and horse riding. The charity also supports individuals with holidays, day trips and access to community resources.
Ian met Sarah Lilly, CPM’s deputy manager, at a business networking event and was immediately drawn to supporting the charity’s great work.
Sarah tells us about a recent CPM Event, The Weoley Big Night Out:
“Some of our citizens have complex care and support needs, and this annual event is often their only opportunity to go out - so it’s much more than a fundraiser to us. We go above and beyond to make the event fully accessible and inclusive, arranging extra care and transportation to ensure the evening is special for everyone.”
This year, IL Solutions donated two 50” TVs to the raffle to help raise funds and give the evening that all-important wow factor.
Sarah says:
“Everyone wanted to win a TV, and we were overjoyed when our citizens, Clifford and Grace, had the winning tickets. Grace even shared a picture of her TV set up on the wall in her bedroom, and said, “Television all set up. I’m absolutely loving it!” We’re incredibly grateful for the support we receive from Ian Lamb and IL Solutions Ltd. Thank you for helping us create smiles for our citizens.”
