A leaking pipe had caused damage beneath the bathroom floor of a hotel guest room. But the extent of the problem didn't become clear until after the floor was lifted.
The insulation underneath was saturated, and the damaged timber required attention. An existing electric underfloor heating system was also uncovered during the work.

What we did
IL Solutions traced and addressed the leaking pipe before removing the saturated insulation and damaged materials.
Our electrician safely disconnected the unexpected underfloor heating system and removed it after consultation with the hotel's maintenance manager.
Repairing and rebuilding the floor structure, new insulation and cement board were then installed to create a solid base for the finished floor.
New tiles were laid to match the existing bathroom specification before the toilet and other fittings were reinstated to make the room ready to use.
The Result
By adapting the work to the extent of the damage, IL Solutions ensured underlying issues were addressed. The bathroom was rebuilt and retiled, allowing the hotel to confidently use the room once more.
